Fletcher had the opportunity to participate on building a machine built trail on Galbraith Mt, which is pretty revolutionary. The trail is likely to be named ‘Unemployment Line’ to reflect a majority of those part of the build. The full trail is not yet open, but we (me, Fletcher, and Jeff) rode it on a Friday after work. We rode a couple trails on the hill, Fletcher’s trail starts and stops when you see the caution tape. The video gets a little dark due to the sun going down in the horizon and the storm that was threatening. Video also ends when my fun did, when I broke my bike – so stay tuned till the end to see that.

Note: it takes just a moment for the video to load, but should play fine once going. I got a cheap hosting plan.

Got 3 rooms at one of the lodges up there. Erker clan was there as well as the folks and a few friends; LB, Pat, Dan, and Catie. We really lucked out on weather and the snow was surprisingly good too! Good times were had on the snow by day, and at the Snorting Elk by night!

It’s a big file, give it a second (or a few) to load.

Last weekend, did an unusual dive trip – we did some underwater pumpkin carving! The event was put on through Gone Diving out of Bellingham, but took place at Rosario Beach near Deception Pass. First dive was to carve the pumpkins, a timed event. An interesting process for sure. Afterward, we did two fun dives in the bay. Not the best dive spot for wildlife, but twas fun to get back in the water. Water was a bit murky, so this rookie with the camera struggled to get any shots.

We camped at Deception Pass the night before and after – last camping trip of the season! Lucked out with the weather, blue skies and moderate temperatures. At night, we did huddle pretty close to the fire as the clear skies did not keep the little warmth there was in. Mr. Heater (small propane heater) came in handy this trip for sure! Warmed up the tent before we crawled in! Toasty!
