New Belgium hosted another (3rd) Urban Assault Ride in Seattle, and again, we lucked out with great weather. This is a whimsical road bike event in which at each of the known check points, and the two mystery checkpoints, you must complete some sort of ‘challenge’ before going on. I rode with my helmet cam, but forgot to turn it in at all the checkpoints. I teamed up with Scott again this year as Team Cutters (80’s movie reference, Bicycle Dreams) but we rode as a group with Clem and his brother Clay. Matt and Frank were gonna join our group, but got mixed up at the start. We’ll be doing this again next year. Fun event. Fun after party.

Fletcher had the opportunity to participate on building a machine built trail on Galbraith Mt, which is pretty revolutionary. The trail is likely to be named ‘Unemployment Line’ to reflect a majority of those part of the build. The full trail is not yet open, but we (me, Fletcher, and Jeff) rode it on a Friday after work. We rode a couple trails on the hill, Fletcher’s trail starts and stops when you see the caution tape. The video gets a little dark due to the sun going down in the horizon and the storm that was threatening. Video also ends when my fun did, when I broke my bike – so stay tuned till the end to see that.

Note: it takes just a moment for the video to load, but should play fine once going. I got a cheap hosting plan.

I had stopped progress on my blog due to Facebook becoming my online outlet. But now that AnnaJo got me a helmet cam for my birthday (hurray!) – I need a place to post all my new videos and photos I’m bound to be creating. Also, I have always wanted a general online photo gallery for basic items, so I will be pre-dating a lot of posts to create a more general photo-blog. I’ll reinstate the password once I tweak the new theme further.
