Underwater Pumpkin Carving

Last weekend, did an unusual dive trip – we did some underwater pumpkin carving! The event was put on through Gone Diving out of Bellingham, but took place at Rosario Beach near Deception Pass. First dive was to carve the pumpkins, a timed event. An interesting process for sure. Afterward, we did two fun dives in the bay. Not the best dive spot for wildlife, but twas fun to get back in the water. Water was a bit murky, so this rookie with the camera struggled to get any shots.

We camped at Deception Pass the night before and after – last camping trip of the season! Lucked out with the weather, blue skies and moderate temperatures. At night, we did huddle pretty close to the fire as the clear skies did not keep the little warmth there was in. Mr. Heater (small propane heater) came in handy this trip for sure! Warmed up the tent before we crawled in! Toasty!

Sean took the plunge. Another one bites the dust. Sean & Joey did something rather different, they sang their vows! Good thing both are kareoke rock stars.

Starting a rolling post while down here in San Antonio, starting with the Alamo.

Kickin it in Kelman’s backyard.

Austin TX was a blast. Warm night weather with plenty to do, outdoor bars with live music, and shuffleboard.

Lots of good BBQ down here!

Garage

We’ve had a storage shed for the last year, with the ambition that some of the clutter wouldn’t hang out in the apartment no more. But the storage shed was rather narrow, therefor a pain to get things in and out – let alone, keep organized. We’ve upgraded to a garage! Haven’t had time to organize it, but check out all the space still open with everything just dumped in there! Perhaps the ending days to 5 bikes sitting in the living room?

Hot August Nights

We’ve headed east to join Annajo’s fam in attending one of their local events, Hot August Nights. Yup, it’s pretty warm over here.

I’ve been rather lazy at posting, even though I’d like to keep this updated. This weekend I am going to update this post via pictures as things happen.

Starting with a pic of the valley just before rolling into town.

Jillian at 3 days. Brother Nate just went down for a nap when I thought about snapping a pic.

Opening act at Hot August Nights.

Second act was a pretty decent cover band with multiple singers to range many songs.

Hermon’s Hermits headlining. Who’s that you ask? I didn’t know the name either, but I bet you’d know the songs when ya heard them. Oldies but goodies as they say.
